Picture = 1000 Words … June 26 - June 30, 2023
Monday, June 26 - Courtyard outside our hotel suite… Cody playing with the kitchen staff and laundry lady…
Our home for now…
Our family needed a few days of rest and restoration… Seth is still fighting malaria… a few stomachs are causing discomfort, but we are thankful for a place to stay… 🙌
Thru our friend who we call the India Store man, we made contact with this man… He is a director in the income tax department here is Atakpamé… works also with land ownership and provides documentation for proof… a person of authority and a high position around here…
We went to meet him as he had a vehicle for rent… thru the course of our conversation he asked what I was expecting to pay for rent… I told him I was looking for something equivalent to $25 per day… he said this car rented out for an equivalent of $75-$100 per day, but because of the connection with my friend he would come down to $67… we continued to visit… he was interested in our mission and purpose in Togo… He was intrigued with my speaking his language and asked me to pray for him… after the prayer it was evident God had touched his heart and in the end we agreed on a months rent that was equivalent to about $28 per day… 🙌 thank you Jesus!!
We are so thankful for good transportation… and air conditioning…😊
Tuesday, June 27 - Another divine appointment… Edom is the owner of Leader Hotel where we came for a few days until we know where we are going next… He lives in Lome but happened to be here for a few days… we sat together this morning for a few hours visiting…
We had checked into this hotel with a prearranged daily fee of $59… after our visit he agreed to rent to the end of or stay, just over a month, for $38 per day… 🙌
Our Lord goes before us… 💞
Blood test…
Seth is feeling better…just weak. Our India Store friend told us of a doctor whom he highly recommended we take our children to for testing and stomach issues etc…
Blood pressure and temperature…
I only took Seth for checkup… paid $0.17 for a patient booklet, $0.17 for the blood test, and $11.67 for the doctor consultation…
The positive result of our doctor visit was that it strengthened our reliance on the Great Physician… Thank-you Jesus! 💕
Met this woman when on a walk… an orphaned soul, a beggar, an addict… but a woman created with Infinite Love… she asked for money for food so we walked next for to this restaurant where a helping of corn meal and sauce is $0.20…
I gave them $1 and as they only had $0.40 change, I told them to give $0.60 worth of food to the lady… they thot I meant to give the change to her and replied that she would use it to buy alcohol… in the end I told them to give her one meal each day for 3 days with the $0.60… they all thanked me heartily…
WOW!! It amazes me how a little bit of money can make such an impact…
